Mission
Brick City Bicycles is a community-based bike shop and non-profit organization that works with young people and adults from the greater Newark area. Our full service bike shop offers a wide selection of refurbished bicycles, new and used parts, and professional repairs. The bike shop is used to provide experiential education programs to public and private schools, community groups and organizations, and individuals. Our hands-on courses emphasize developing character, building community, enhancing curriculum, cultivating practical skills, environmental stewardship, and everyday bicycle use. We use a variety of methods to achieve our goals, including single- and multi-day workshops and classes, bicycle building and earning programs, and during and after school academic courses.
